Julia Belle Cobb

Born July 22, 1932 in Peoria to William H. and Dorothy (Murphy) Reeder, she married Richard Lee Cobb, Sr. on July 31, 1960 in Peoria. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one son, Richard Lee Cobb, Jr.

Surviving are two sons, John (Riz) Green of St. Robert, Missouri, and Jerry (Ann) Green of Waynesville, Missouri; one daughter, Sharon (Kenneth) Baer of Washington; one step-daughter, Leah (Frank) Culbertson of Browerville, Minnesota; eight grandchildren, Mike, Jr., Angi, Jenny, Andrea, Stephanie, Ben, Ashley and Heather; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Julia worked for East Peoria Cleaners for over 30 years.

Julia enjoyed playing the slot machines, lottery tickets and her trips to Las Vegas. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Pastor John Plunkett will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
