Lois Irene Filstrup

She was born on December 11, 1939, in Marshall County, the daughter of Merton W. and Mabel I. (Hill) Winklepleck. Lois married Michael L. Filstrup on June 23, 1972. He survives.

Also surviving is her daughter, Beth E. (Thomas) Williams of Knoxville, TN; twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded by her parents; and one son, Keith.

She worked as a certified nursing assistant for several years and was also a dedicated homemaker. She loved volunteering with the Girl Scouts and parents club and was a longtime member of a local bowling league. Lois enjoyed baking cookies, playing solitaire, doing crossword puzzles, and traveling.

Lois was a dedicated member of the Church of Christ in Washington and will be remembered for her kindness, faith, and the love she showed to everyone around her.

Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. Preacher Don Potts will officiate the service. Visitation will be one hour prior, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Fondulac Township Cemetery in East Peoria.
