He was born October 3, 1944 to William Mark Dornon and Dolores Mary (Hessling) Dornon.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Jeanie Hessling of Quincy and Karen Dornon of Creve Coeur.
Surviving are two daughters, Delores (Tony Nidiffer) Jones of Canton and Cynthia (Jerry) Perdun of Creve Coeur; five grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and three brothers, Bob (Carol) Dornon of Georgia, Tim (Judy) Dornon of Texas and Rex (Ellen) Dornon of East Peoria.
Bill formally worked as a Police Officer for the Village of Creve Coeur. He worked for UPS until his retirement in 1990.
Bill, lovingly referred to as “Pops” was a fan of any type of racing, but especially loved NASCAR. He enjoyed sports and enjoyed rooting for the Saint Louis Cardinals. He was a big fan of college basketball and loved March Madness. He enjoyed watching the Price is Right and everyday he would sit down at 10a.m. to watch it, never missing a day. Of all the hobbies Pops enjoyed his three favorite were bowling, boating and drinking beer.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Creve Coeur. A celebration of life will be from 1:30p - 430p Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Ozz's in Creve Coeur.
