

It is with profound sadness that the family of Alan Wayne Saunders announces his passing on July 14, 2025, at the age of 61 years after bravely confronting cancer. Born on November 27, 1963, he brought immense joy to those around him. He was a Journeyman Electrician at IBEW Local #466 with over 38 years of service. Prior to working as a Journeyman Electrician, he worked in hospitality for Marriott Hotels.
Alan was an avid sports fan. Playing sports throughout his youth. Spending time with friends and family was his greatest joy.
Alan’s life touched the life of so many, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of strength and resilience. His unwavering spirit in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Alan embodied kindness and compassion. His selflessness and generosity knew no bounds, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of friends and family alike. His legacy of love will be cherished by all who had the privilege of sharing his life.
Alan will be remembered for his wittiness, honesty, kindness, empathy, and the positive impact he had on everyone fortunate enough to have known him.
Alan was preceded in death by his father, John W. (Bill) Saunders; mother Lorraine (Missy) Saunders; brother-in-law Carlos (Bubby) Parsley III; nephew Carlos (CJ) Parsley IV. He is survived by his brother, Billy Saunders; sisters, Sandy (Scotty) Allport, Kathi Parsley; aunt Jeanette Workman; nephew Jimmy Allport; nieces, Jaime (Jamie) Brown, Leslie Saunders; great-nieces Melody, who was his little Buddy, Scarlett and Stella Allport, Olivia and great nephew Colton Owen; also surviving Alan are his special friend Kim Held and his band of brothers since youth, Timmy Venitsanos, Larry Walker, Greg Birurakis, David Tardy and Toby Holmes.
A Celebration of Alan’s life will be held on July 19, 2025 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home from 5 to 8 pm. Food and beverages will be provided, Casual dress. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity in Alan’s honor.
