Carl Steve Lilly

Carl “Steve” Lilly, 73, of Tornado, went home to be with his Lord Wednesday, May 13, 2015 after a short illness. He was born March 26, 1942, in Charleston, the son of Coy and Adelphia Lilly. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Delmar and Gene Lilly, and sister Janie Lilly. Steve attended Ohio Street Church of God, South Charleston. He retired from Local # Bricklayers Union and proudly served his country in the 3rd Battalion 2nd Marines. He loved his family with his whole heart. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Cookie, daughters, Marsha Craig and her husband Don, of Poca, Lora Cummings, of Meadow Bridge, Cathy Songer and her husband Perry, of Charleston, Susie Halstead and her husband Tim, of St. Albans, Pam Jelf and her husband Dallas, of KY, and son, Wayne Haas and his wife Stacey, of Charleston, 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, brothers, John Lilly, of Cleveland, OH, and Troy Byrd, of Charleston, sisters, Judy Gagnon, of Macedon, NY, Maryann Legg, of Nitro, and Carol Toney, of Charleston. Celebration of Steve’s life will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Ohio Street Church of God, 4919 Ohio St. Spring Hill, WV 25309 with Pastor Rick Tobia officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston, with Military Graveside Rites conducted by St. Albans VFW 6418 and American Legion Post 73. Gathering of family and friends will be Friday from 6 to 8 at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home.
