

Dallas Ray Stowers, 69, of Scott Depot passed away July 26, 2017 at home. He was born March 24, 1948 in Gallia, Ohio and was a son of Guy E. and Cleasby Adkins Stowers. In addition to his parents, he preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Anna “Gaye” Stowers and grandson, Corey Alexander. Dallas was a U. S. Army veteran. He was retired from Mountaineer Fabricators. He loved piddling around his house, cleaning his cars and eating at Diehl’s. He was a loving father and grandfather. Dallas is survived by his three children, Rusty (Carolyn) Alexander of Milton, Tim Alexander of Newport News, VA and Denny (Brenda) Alexander of Charleston; three grandchildren, Cierra Alexander of Huntington, Sarah of Hurricane and Dallis Alexander of Newport News, VA; two great-grandchildren, Izak and Elijah Gillispie; and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Dallas’ life will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, 110 B Street, St. Albans with Rev. Mayford Witt officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans with military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 6412 and American Legion Post 73. There will be a gathering of family and friends from noon until service time at the funeral home.
