"Betty Ann" was born December 2, 1942 in Richmond, Indiana to the late Russell and Louise Lamb Mathews. She retired from the Department of Defense with 32 years service. Betty Ann was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dunbar. She started working for the Federal Government when she was 18.
Preceded in death by her father whom raised her, Albert Gordon; and a brother, Bill Mathews.
Left to cherish her memory are loving husband of 55 years, Robert "Bob" L. Breeden; sons, Tim Breeden (Terry) of Stafford, Virginia, and Michael Breeden of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; brothers, Jerry Gordon of Syracuse, New York, Stewart Mathews of Montgomery, Alabama, David Gordon of Coldwater, Ohio, and Mitchell Mathews of Richmond, Indiana; sister, Susie Jones of Richmond, Indiana; grandsons, Jason Wenk and Timmy Breeden; great-grandson, Sam Wenk; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Service will be at Noon on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Tyler Mountain Funeral Home, 5233 Rocky Fork Road, Cross Lanes, WV with Pastor Jack Eades officiating. Burial will follow Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 11am Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Dunbar, 311 16th Street, Dunbar, WV 25064.
