Evelyn Lorraine Harrison Johnson, 90 of Brentwood TN, formerly an 88 year resident of Charleston WV, passed away Monday, May 25, 2015. Evelyn was a retired sales rep for Ruben H. Donnelley where she received numerous achievement awards. She was preceded in death by Donald, her husband of 64 years. Evelyn was a life time member of the First Church of God where she was a member of the choir and pianist. She was a former member of Soroptimist International. She is survived by her “girls”, Marcia (David) Stemple of Palm Coast Florida, Meri E. Gilkeson of Brentwood, Tennessee, Lynn (Michael) Young of Westerville Ohio and Joyce (Gary) Phillips of Bowie Maryland. Also surviving four grandsons and five great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held for Evelyn in the garden at Wellington Place, 209 Ward Circle Brentwood Tennessee on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM. The family wants to express our gratitude to the staff of Wellington Place and Alive Hospice of Nashville for the great care they gave Evelyn, especially her honorary granddaughter, Hero Haji.
