Born February 3, 1933 in Putney, WV, Rose was the eldest daughter and child of late Henry James Hudnall and Gladys Hackney Hudnall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her true love and husband James (Jim) David Snodgrass and her siblings Betty Taylor, Denny Hudnall, Mickey Hudnall, Ronnie Hudnall, and Theda Casdorph.
Rose was born and raised a coal miner’s daughter. She was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. Rose graduated from Dupont High School and worked for several years at the AT &T telephone company. She retired from the West Virginia Unemployment/Job Service office. Rose loved her home, her family and friends. For those of us left to grieve here on earth, Rose is no longer in pain nor dementia. Rose is reunited with the love of her life, Jim, her husband of 59 years, together forever.
Rose is survived by her children, Judy (Phil) Stephens, of Boaz, and Susan (Mike) Karlen, of Elkins, grandchildren, Jima Karlen, Amber (Cody) Gainer, Joshua Stephens and Julianna Stephens.
A very special thank you to her special caregivers whom allowed Rose to remain at home with love.
Celebration of Rose’s life will be 12:00 P.M. Saturday, April 6, 2024 at Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens West Virginia Mausoleum, Cross Lanes with Celebrant HR Whittington presiding. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Last but certainly not least, thanks and love go to her trusted and loyal neighbor, Danny Stephens, who kept her smiling and filled her birdfeeders every day since Dad passed so she could see the birds and squirrels from her front window.
Jim and Rose together again. UBE.
