He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald “Don” and Reba Louise Sampson.
Joe retired from 84 Lumber, St Albans. He was an avid WVU sport fan, loved golfing, bowling and many years coaching little league and travel softball in St Albans.
He leaves behind, his loving wife of 32 years, Debra, sons, Adam Sampson (Alison), Ryan Sampson (Samantha), daughters, Jessica Wiley (Jeremy), Michelle Blair, and Trina Hunt (Adam), 13 amazing grandkids, who were the love of his life and 2 great grandkids, and the blessing of Chip.
Celebration of Joe’s life will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home, Cross Lanes with Pastor Darren Powell officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens.
Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Marantatha Fellowship, St Albans, Hospice, or Breast Cancer Research.
