
Ken Alton Abbott, 77, of St. Albans, passed away December 12, 2014 with his family by his side. He was born December 15, 1936 in Culloden, the son of Raymond and Alberta Campbell Abbott. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, David Abbott. He is survived by loving wife of 30 years, Margie, daughters, Terri Johnston, Lisa Nienke and her husband Ronnie, brothers, J.R., and his wife Judy, Tim and his wife Pam, Oscar Campbell and his wife Sandra, special nephews, Scott and Jay Abbott, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ken retired from Ramsey Insurance with over 25 years of service, and was a US Air Force Veteran. He was a member of Gateway Christian Center, St. Albans. Ken was an avid WVU and Cleveland Browns fan. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend that will be missed by all who knew him. Celebration of Ken’s life will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Ranson. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans with Military Graveside Rites to be conducted by St. Albans VFW Post 6418 and American Legion 73. Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service Tuesday at the funeral home. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Mike Noto, Dr. Chris Bowman, and the medical Drs. And staff at CAMC.
