Lonnie Lee Reed Jr.

He was born March 26,1950 in Sissonville, the son of Lonnie Lee and Ida Mae Reed. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters Sharon Foster, Carol Cook, and brother David Reed.

Lonnie was a proud retired veteran of the US Army. He was an over the road truck driver having been employed with several companies. Lonnie was also a certified CDL instructor. He was an active member of Fraziers Bottom Church, and gospel singer. A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend that will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Debra, son William Reed, daughter Jennifer Reed, both of Barboursville, step children, Elizabeth Davidson (Mark), of NC, Richard Payne, of St Albans, grandchildren Victoria Reed-Briere, of AZ, step grandchildren Allyson Payne, Skylar Hagenbuch, brother Roger Reed,(Annette), adopted daughter Johanna Burdette, and her daughter Bella Smith, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Lonnie's life will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday February 19, 2026 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home with Pastor Nathan Cain officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes with Full Military Honors.

Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
