Sean Carrington Jones

Sean Carrington Jones was born on February 13th, 1976, and died December 31st, 2023. Sean is survived by his mom, Faye Jones, daughter, Alex Jones, sister, Jennifer Jones, nephew’s Dresden Jones and Elijah Dyess.

Sean was born in Richmond, Virginia, and in 1977, his family moved to Charleston, West Virginia, which became home. Sean attended Montessori pre-school, Sacred Heart elementary, then John Adam’s Middle school, graduating from George Washington High School. Sean was a graduate of West Virginia University and continued his education in Bozeman, Montana. He completed two years of a Masters Program in chemistry and biology. He then decided he wanted to return home, closer to family.

Sean felt that his biggest, and most important achievement in his life was being a dad, to his only child, Alex. He loved her more than life itself! He enjoyed his time with his daughter. He loved the ocean, fishing, camping , and being in nature.

Sean was a humble and kind person, giving anything he had, to anyone who was in need.

The death of Sean is tragic. He did not have to die. Parents should never have to feel the pain of the death of their child. Sean was so loved, and his memory will live on in our hearts. He will be missed dearly, and his love of GOD will bring comfort to his loved ones.

His mother, Faye, always looked forward to his phone calls, and she continually prayed for his return to West Virginia. She never realized that her last conversation with him, would be December 29th, two days before his death. Sean is now at peace after his struggles, and, hopefully, in time, his family will have peace also.
