

Tim was born on November 25, 1958, in Charleston, WV to the late Richard Garvin “Pete” Tench and Mildred Ruth Valentine Tench. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his older brother, Richard G. Tench Jr.
Tim was a proud graduate of Dupont High School and built a fulfilling career as a senior control technician at American Electric Power, where he made lasting contributions before retiring.
Beyond his professional life, Tim had a deep love for the outdoors. He found joy in hunting, fishing, spending time in nature and relaxing at the beach. Whether in the woods or by the water, he was happiest surrounded by the beauty of the natural world. Tim was also a dedicated member of the Morning Dawn Lodge No. 7 Free and Accepted Masons, where he built lifelong friendships and upheld the values of brotherhood, charity, and integrity. One of the things that Tim was most proud of was being a coal miner.
He is survived by his nephews, Richard M. Tench (David Price) of Charleston, WV and Daniel J. Tench (Melissa) of Point Pleasant, WV. In addition, his dear friend John Dixon of Gallipolis, OH.
Celebration of Tim’s life will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 21, 2025 at Tyler Mt. Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Tyler Mt. Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Gathering of family and friends will be from noon until time of service at the funeral home
