Frank was born in Mount Vernon, NY to the late James and Antoinetta (Capalbo) Grieco on December 23, 1928. Frank had many interests, including photography, flea markets, travel and the outdoors but most important was his love for family.
He served in the US Marine Corp. during the Korean War as a diesel mechanic. After an honorable discharge from the Marines he worked as a machine operator for International Union of Operating Engineers Local 137 in Briarcliff. NY.
He moved to Elmsford, NY where he raised his family and was involved in Kiwanis and Little League.
After retirement he moved to Cape Coral, FL where he enjoyed his many interest and hobbies. He belonged to many organizations and volunteer groups including SW Paddling Club, Florida Trail Assoc. and Cape Coral Friends of Wild Life. He and Mary also loved traveling in Europe and in their RV cross country.
He is survived by his wife Mary (Paulson); loving children Donna Grieco (Michael Mattson), AnnMarie (James) Michel, Frank Grieco Jr, Agnes (William) Torlish and his daughter in law Carol Grieco. He is also survived by his grandchildren Frances, James, Joey, Liam, Wyatt, and Dylan; loving brother to James Grieco Jr. and a dear uncle to his nieces and nephews. Frank was predeceased by his son Louis and sister Nancy Anne Shea.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at the Bristal in Armonk and Phelps Memorial hospital.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations can be made to St Jude Children’s Hospital or Alzheimer’s Association.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on July 25, 2020 at the EDWARD F. CARTER FUNERAL HOME, 41 Grand St., Croton-on-Hudson, NY. A Memorial Service will follow at 7pm also at the Funeral Home.
