Mildred Simpson

Mildred Pacifico Simpson of Croton on Hudson, NY formerly of Brooklyn, NY passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the age of 92. Mildred was born to Louis E. and Pierrina (Pace) Pacifico on August 15, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY. She was married the love of her life, Edward Simpson, Jr. until his passing in March 2016. They were married for 68 years. Mildred was a long time parishioner at the Flatbush Tompkins Congregational Church of Brooklyn, NY. She spent time volunteering for the Salvation Army Foster Home and Adoption Agency and also for the Congregational Home in Brooklyn, NY.

Mildred is survived by her beloved children Patricia Leake (Nolan), Janet Young (Philip), and Glenn Simpson (Cathy Le Blanc), cherished grandchildren Pace Parsons (Miguel), E. Nolan Leake (Tennille Christiansen), Spencer and Trevor Young, and Jylls and Nate Le Blanc-Simpson, and by one great grandchild Nola Parsons.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2017 from 3-8PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St., Croton on Hudson, NY. A Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, March 31st at 10AM, Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, Croton on Hudson with burial to follow at Pine Lawn Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
