

Silvia Costantini of Croton on Hudson passed away on Tuesday February 6, 2017 with her children by her side. Silvia was born on February 3, 1929 in Supino, Italy to Nazzareno and Rosa Costantini. When she was eleven years old, she moved to Aliquippa, Pennsylvania for twelve years then moved to Italy for one year where she married her husband, Luigi. In 1953 they both moved to Croton on Hudson where Silvia was a homemaker and raised her children. Silvia was a Eucharistic Minister at Holy Name of Mary Church, a member of the Holy Name of Mary Rosary, and a member of the Croton Seniors. She is predeceased by her husband of 45 years, Luigi Costantini, her brother, John Costantini and her sister Benedetta Costantini. Silvia is survived by her sister, Ida Wahl of Schoharie, NY, son, Luigi and wife, Marta of Croton on Hudson, daughter, Rosemarie Costantini of Croton on Hudson, granddaughters, Emily Prezzano and Carly Peterson and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 3-9PM at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home, 41 Grand St., Croton on Hudson, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 10th at Holy Name of Mary Church, 110 Grand St., Croton on Hudson, NY. Entombment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations in Silvia Costantini’s memory may be made to Holy Name of Mary Church.
