He was born on September 8, 1933 in Kingsley, Michigan, to Walter & Hazel (Hency) Cleland. He had five siblings, James, Jack, Allan, Charles, and Ellen Marie. He joined the Army at 19, and was stationed in Germany, working with officers during the Korean War. Clinton was a heavy equipment operating engineer until he retired at the age of 63.
Clinton will be deeply missed by his children, Laura Ann Kelsey (James Miller) & Mary Lou (Robert P.) Tracy; his grandchildren Robert Cleland Tracy, Brandon Michael Kelsey, Jeanne M. (Tracy) Schutter, Roberta P. (Tracy) Pollack, James M. Tracy, Patrick T. Tracy, and their spouses and children, along with all his other beloved family members and dear friends.
Clinton is predeceased by his wife, Arlene Joan (Schleif) Cleland; his son Scott Gerald Cleland; his parents, Walter Morphet & Hazel (Hency) Cleland; and his siblings James Cleland, Jack Cleland, Allan Cleland, Charles Cleland & Ellen Marie (Cleland) Traikovski.
Clinton will be joining his beloved wife, Arlene, and their dear son Scott, in Montague, Michigan.
