Dorothy Mae Sturgeon

She was born May 18, 1926 in Cincinnati, OH to Henry and Henrietta (Feldman) Woeste. On April 18, 1959 she married Robert Sturgeon in Cincinnati.

She grew up in Cincinnati and lived in Rochester, NY. She recently moved to Cary. She enjoyed playing Bridge. She was always happy and loved her family very much. Her Catholic faith was a central part of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; her children, Cyndi (Hugh) Quinn, Robert (Barb) Sturgeon, Jeff (Karen) Sturgeon, and Gary (Kathryn) Sturgeon; her grandchildren, Katelyn, Kelly, Nick, Madeline, Alex, Lizzy, Ben, Emily, Mary, Nathan, Charlie, and Maggie; and her sisters, Marianne (Vick) Caproni and Ruth Schwartz.

Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30am on Tuesday, December 10 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 410 N. First St., Cary. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am.

Interment will follow in Windridge Memorial Park, Cary.
