

She was born July 24, 1921 in Chicago to Joseph and Mary Bogacz. On June 12, 1943 she married Thaddeus Kuczmierczyk.
Helen was born and raised in the city but she and her husband chose to raise their family in Volo. They resided there for many years where she attended and was very active at St. Peter’s Church. She loved traveling, Hawaii being one of her favorite destinations. She was very proud of her Polish heritage, dancing the Polka, even into her early 80s. Bingo was her favorite pastime and she enjoyed playing it on a regular basis.
She is survived by her children, Nancy (James) Roozee and Daniel Kuczmierczyk; grandchildren, Travis (Ashley) Roozee and Allison (Michael) Fossler; her nieces and nephews, Dave (Lee) Bogacz, Donald Bogacz, Vanessa (Gus) Karris, Brian (Lindsay) Bogacz, Jack Karris, Julia Karris, and Ross Bogacz.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughters, Marcia and Gloria Kuczmierczyk, and her siblings, Chester, Lillian, Edwin, Mary and Joseph.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8pm on Thursday, October 17, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake. The funeral service will be at 10:30am on Friday, October 18 at the funeral home.
Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, River Grove.
