I am one of those lucky ones that was able to enjoy the precious company of Janet as a Pequena and as a former Pequena.  Janet and Joan have been a great guidance and a source of stregth throughtout my life. Janet will be very much missed.

A shining star has been disappeared from view but is still twinkling somewhere. During many stays at Casa Guadalupe Janet, assisted by Max and a drawer full of ants, always made the visits memorable and fun.  She held a wonderful world view in spite of physical adversity. Hearing the news about Janet was such a shock and my heart goes out to you in particular Joan.  I'm so sorry.  This past Sept.,  I helped Janet clear out boxes and set up for the yard sale of more than 50 years of memories of Janet and Joan's life in Mexico.  It was of course bittersweet, but the sweet part was just being around Janet.  We laughed and joked and Janet's quick sense of humor and ability to let loose with a zinger left me in awe. We'll miss you Janet, but I know you are in a wonderful place.  I'm sure there is quite a party going on.

I am a former Pequena. I remember seeing Miss Janet often while she was working for NPH when I was younger. (I especially remember those graduation days... she was always there). I grew up and had the opportunity to work at the Godparents Office in Cuernavaca. I was very lucky to work with Miss Janet and Miss Juanita while the International Board Meetings took place in Mexico.  They always did a great job. 
Thank you very much for your time and dedication to my NPH home and family Miss Janet.  You are in my prayers.

After almost 30 years with NPH I can't remember when I met Janet first. Just the other day I was talking with my wife Momo (Hermana Mayor from NPH Mexico) how special it was to meet Janet and Joan during the Fr. Wasson Memorial in August of last year. I told Momo how happy I was to see them doing well health wise. And now this tragic accident. We are so sorry. Thank you Janet for your many years of service to the children. Janet and Joan were a team that gave much to NPH. I worked closely with Janet on the volunteer program for many years. She was a dedicated and caring person and we shall miss her.

I first met Janet back in 1994 when I took one of our Special Needs kids to Cuernavaca for physical therapy. I was relatively new to NPH Haiti at the time. Eliane was seriously sick during the week I was there with her and almost daily I was coming to Janet and Joan for help. I remember very well the kindness of both those women and since then have always held Them in a special part in my heart. Over the years I was always happy to meetnJanet. She did a super Job for NPH and is a big loss to all of us. I hope those of us left innNPH will continue on with her great spirit.    My heart breaks for what you are going through right now!  You both had such a beautiful relationship and were truly kindred spirits for each other! I am so happy that you both were able to go to Arizona together last summer and see some of the old timers from NPH!
