He was born February 13, 1945 in Bronx, New York to Juan and Delfinia (Fournier) Guardiola. He was a Vietnam veteran, earning a Purple Heart for his service to his country. On June 11, 2011 he married Mary Claire Vesper in Woodstock.
John is survived by his wife, Mary; his children, Vicky, Veronica, Gil, and Jason; and his sister, Louisa Sass.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Saturday, April 11 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave. (Rt. 176 and Oak Street), Crystal Lake.
