

William "Bill" was born in Oak Park, Illinois the son of Harold and Dorothy Brasie. He was a graduate of Oak Park High School and attended Indiana University.
Bill was a second generation owner of Middlewest Pet Foods, Inc. When he retired, he devoted himself to volunteer work with Salvation Army and was named Volunteer of the Year in 1999. He was also a member of Lions International and received the Lions Committee Chairman Award for Crystal Lake in 2005.
Bill was loving husband for 64 years to the late Helen Brasie. He was devoted father of the late Stephen (Jeannie) Brasie, Kathleen (Bill) Marciniak and Phillip (Cindy) Brasie. He leaves loving grandchildren; Scott Shenefelt, Mark (Esther) Shenefelt, Stephanie (Steve) Iwanski, Jason (Gail) Brasie, Emily (Kevin) Foerster, Donald (Sarah) Brasie and Michael (Maggie) Brasie. He was blessed with great-grandchildren Madison and Olivia Brasie, Katie Foerster, Finnley Iwanski, Angel and Dianna Salinas. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, and his oldest son.
Visitation will be from 9:30 am until the 11:30am service on Saturday, January 21st at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave. Crystal Lake. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park, Crystal Lake. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Salvation Army - Crystal Lake, 290 W. Crystal Lake Ave, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
