Mr. Anthony Nelson Jones

Funeral services for Mr. Anthony N. Jones, age 85 of West Point will be held on Friday June 11, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Samuel Tucker and Rev. Jackie Camp officiating. Interment will be in Crossroads Cemetery.

Mr. Jones passed away on Tuesday June 8, 2010 at his residence. He was born on May 7, 1925 to Fred and Ella Caudle Jones in Morgan County. He was a retired carpenter. He was a simple man and a friend to all. He loved gardening, farming and bird watching; he fed the wildlife daily.

Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents, one son, Ron Jones; five brothers, Jack, Doyle, Raymond, Fred Jr. and Millard Jones; three sisters, baby Jones, Margie Payne and Oneida Parker Ennis.

Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Ann Ovell Jones; a Daughter, Donna Phillips and Husband James of Decatur; one Daughter-in-Law, Denise Bice Jones; one Sister, Virginia Knop of Beech Grove, Indiana; two Grandchildren, Julie Johnson and Amanda Jimenez; five Great-Grandchildren; and a host of friends and other family.

Pallbearers will be, Hershel Jones, Durwin Jones, Jimmy Floyd, Mike Floyd, Don Stevens and Ken Stevens.

Visitation will be held on Thursday June 10, 2010 at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
