Dennis Gerald Green of Baileyton passed away on December 23, 2017 at the age of 80. He was born on May 20, 1937 to Dennis Jewell and Genora Cook Green. Mr. Green was an auto mechanic and owned his own shop with his father and he also was a poultry farmer for 55 years. He also retired from The Army National Guard after 30 years of service with the Hanceville unit. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald Ray Green.
Funeral services are Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 11:00 am at Lystra Baptist Church with Rev. John Garrison officiating. He will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
He is survived by his wife of 58 I/2 years, Carolyn Vincent Green, daughter Jill Green, son Kevin (Debbie) Green, brother Charles (Phyllis) Green, grandchildren Chrissy Minor, Katy Green, Mahalla Wren, Rocky Wren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation is on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Moss Funeral Home from 5:30 pm until 9:00 pm.
