

Mrs. Elizabeth Calloway Denson of Cullman Alabama passed away on April 21, 2015 at Cullman Regional Medical Center at the age of 94. She was born on May 17, 1920 at the Calloway Home in the Baldwin Community to Robert Clarence and Eva Mae Crutchfield Calloway. She passed away the same way she lived her life, with grace and dignity. She was a champion by every measure of life but most importantly by her unwavering love for God and family. She enjoyed every aspect of life, relying upon her selfless heart, generous spirit and compassion for others. She was truly blessed by her husband of 70 years, her children, grands, greats, extended family and many friends. Her cup runneth over. She was a member of The First United Methodist Church in Cullman and in The Bob Sapp Sunday School Class for 64 years. She was involved in The United Methodist Women and The Friendship Circle, Young At Heart Club and other organizations such as the Lake and Hills Garden Club, Quest Women’s Club and The Red Hat Society. She is preceded in death by her parents, Husband: Joseph Preston “J.P.” Denson, five sisters and six brothers.
Funeral services will be on Friday, April 24, 2015 at The First United Methodist Church of Cullman at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Mitchell Williams officiating. Interment will be in Cullman City Cemetery.
Survivors are: Daughters: Ann (Bobby) Edwards, Beverly (John) Harlan, Son: Preston Denson, Sister: Bobbie Shults, Brothers: Elwyn (Jane) Calloway, Lester ( M.E.) Calloway, Grandchildren: Angelynn Edwards, Brandon (Kara) Edwards, Robert Denson, Lori (Jerry) Woolfolk, Wes (Amy) Harlan, Great Grandchildren: Bexleigh Edwards, Braxton Edwards, Hannah Maples, Jacob Ross Maples, Allyson Vidal, Garrett Harlan, Great Great Grandchildren: Sophie Richard and Catelin Vidal.
Visitation will be on Friday, April 24, 2015 at The First United Methodist Church from 11:30 A.M. until 1:30 P.M.
