Mrs. Fay G. Gaither Johnson

Fay Gaither Johnson, age 78, of Northport, formerly of Hanceville died June 6, 2013, at Hospice of West Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2013 in the Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery with Rev. Harlon Harris and Rev. Jeremy Griffith officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn and Nell Gaither; her brother, Edward Gaither; and husband, Ted Johnson.

Survivors include her son, Dennis (Marilyn) Johnson; grandchildren, Ashlei Johnson and Alison (Nathan) Hannah all of Tuscaloosa, three sister-in-laws, Evelyn Gaither, Agnes Smith, and Ruth Harris, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She will be greatly missed.

Pallbearers will be Scottie Bartlett, Bennie Bartlett, Jr., Jeff Gaither, Roger Hamm, James Waters and Waymon Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers are Julita Montgomery, a special Cousin; Billy and Gail Day; 5 North staff at DCH Regional Medical Center, Hospice of West Alabama, Cullman Wal-Mart employees, and Presbyterian Apartments.
