

On March 19, 2013, Geraldine Eidson Carter, 89, entered His gates with thanksgiving, and praise. She was reunited with her parents, Eula and Susie Eidson; her husband, Woodrow; two sisters, Doris Aderhold and Aileen Eidson; and her great grandson, John Clinton Hollingsworth.
She will be missed by her brother Buell Eidson; her sons Ronald (Niki) Carter, and Keith (Lynda) Carter; her daughter, Lesia York; her grandchildren, Shannon (Lucas) Price, Natalie (Jason) Tielking, Leslie (Clint) Hollingsworth, Matthew (Amy) Carter, Steve (Stacie) Carter, Joseph (Heather) Carter; and her great grandchildren, Adie Price, Loren and Wyatt Tielking, Caroline, Eliza, and Clementine Hollingsworth, Griffin Carter, and Libby Carter.
Geri was a devoted member of First Baptist Church. She taught Sunday School to four year olds for many years, and was an active member of the Women’s Missionary Union. Geri and Woodrow opened the Kiddie Land Shop, selling children’s clothing for 33 years.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Heather Carter, Debbie Cheuvront, LaDonna Cushman, Shelia Goodwin, Penny Lassiter, Clura Quick, Dr. Bill Peinhardt, and Cullman County Hospice for their loving care, and support.
The Carter family will receive friends on Thursday, March 21st from 5:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home. Dr. Edwin Hayes will conduct a celebration of life at First Baptist Church, Cullman on Friday, March 22nd at 11:00 a.m. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service, with interment at Memory Gardens.
The family suggests gifts in her memory be made to First Baptist Church, Children’s Ministry, or a charity of your choice.
