

Funeral Services for Mr. Jonathan Brett Hastings, age 32 of Cullman, will be Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at 12:00 p.m. at Ryan’s Creek Baptist Church, with Pastor Wade McDonald officiating.

Mr. Hastings was born on August 28, 1979 in Cullman to John Henry Hastings and Melissa Ann Graves. He passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2012 at his residence. Brett was a member of Ryan’s Creek Baptist Church, had worked for Carcel & G Construction, for several years; he enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing; and was a huge Alabama fan. He was a graduated of Cold Springs High School in 1998, where he played football, and was a weightlifter, holding a record there at the school in weightlifting.
Brett is preceded in death by his grandparents, Oran & Delwyn Graves; Leonard Hastings, and Billy Ray Amerson.
Survivors include his Father – John (Donna) Hastings; his Mother – Melissa (Randall) Kilgore; his Fiancé – Rachael Cordes; one Sister – Kristy (Jason Guthrie – Fiance) Hastings; 2 – Brothers – Billy (Christy) Christian, and Christopher Kilgore; a Brother-in-Love – Chad Ard; two 2 – Nieces – Natalie Lawley and Emma Lawley; one Nephew – Brayden Brockway; two 2 – Grandmothers – Stella Burrows and Glenda Amerson; and a Host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins & Friends and a very special dog – Willow.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be, Chad Ard, Adam Burgess, Nathan Burgess, Seth Graves, Kyle Graves, Billy Christian, Christopher Kilgore, Matthew Hodges, Brian Graves and Wes Whaley.
