Funeral services for Victor Leo Young, 74, of Hanceville will be at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Moss-Service Funeral Home Chapel, Bro. Derald Briscoe and the Rev. Dewey Briscoe officiating, with burial in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.

Moss-Service Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Young passed away Thursday, March 8, at Huntsville Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was a retired paint contractor, a member of Westside Baptist Church in Cullman and the Cullman Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Henrietta Young of Morgan County; three brothers, Cordelle, Obie and Buddy; and a sister, Daisey.

Survivors include his devoted wife of 53 years, Patsy Young; his loving son, Greg; his loving daughter, Beth; two sisters, Mary Lee and Aline; a sister-in-law, Molly Chesser Black; a brother-in-law, Charles Hollis; along with many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Westside Baptist, Cullman Lions Club and Gideon Bibles, which can be read online at www.gideons.org.

Pallbearers will be Dewayne Wilson, Andrew Stanley, Joey Whitehead, Jerry Patterson, Keith Drake and Doug Drake.

Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Williams, Harrol Dismukes, Charles Denton, Wade Stanley, Charlie Parker, Norman Mayhall and Forrest Shattuck.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. A short family service will precede visitation.
