Mary Elizabeth “Libby” Lane age 85 of Cullman, died Friday March 7, 2025.

Libby was born June 16, 1939, to Paul S. and Louse Barlow Britton in Rose Hill Mississippi. She was a member of Cullman’s 1st United Methodist Church and Women of the Moose.

Mrs. Lane was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leon R. Lane; and a brother, Paul Eugene Britton.

Libby is survived by her daughter, Debbie (Mark) Calvert; son, David (Karen) Lane; 4 grandchildren: Misty (Richard) Fisher, Marki Calvert, Abigail (Austin) Marshall, and Nicole Lane; sister, Becky (Jonne) Thornton; 7 great grandchildren and a host of other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 12:00 noon until the celebration of Mary Elizabeth Lane’s life which will begin at 1:00 PM at Moss Service Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow in Cullman City Cemetery.
