Mr. Phillip “Ray” Hicks of Cullman Alabama passed away on August 4, 2012 at the Veterans Hospital at the age of 73. Mr. Hicks was born on December 23, 1938 in Cullman Alabama to Herbert Euel and Elnor Tillery Hicks. Mr. Hicks was retired from The United States Air Force. He is preceded in death by his parents and a Son-In-Law: Cary Dutton.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 A.M. with Father Patrick Egan officiating. Interment will be in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Survivors are: Wife: Betty Burrow Hicks of Cullman, Alabama, 1 Daughter: Sandy Dutton , 1 Son: Jody (Kenyala) Hicks, 1 Sister: Jackey Lokey, 6 Grandchildren: Katy Dutton, Andrew Dutton, Caroline Hicks, Emma Hicks, Sam Gullion and Drew Gullion.
Visitation will be held at Moss Funeral Home on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 5:30 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and a rosary at 7:30 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School or Eastside Baptist Church Building Fund.
