Rosemary Therese Sullivan, 87, died on November 20, 2018 in her home in Cullman, Alabama. Born on July 10, 1931, Rosemary was raised in New Rochelle, New York, along with her parents Edward and Madeline Flanagan and brother Edward. She graduated from St. Gabriel’s High School and Berkeley Secretarial School in New York and was employed as a secretary at the R.T. O’Connell Advertising Company and Union Carbide Corporation, among others. Rosemary was married for over twenty years to John Robert Sullivan and set up homes in Westchester, New York and Bergen County, New Jersey. Her children Maribeth Leonard, Colleen Trevisan, Christopher and Brian Sullivan, in-laws Marc Trevisan and Stacy Sullivan, 11 grandchildren, sister-in-law Marcella Flanagan, and long-time companion Edward Bailey, survive her. Rosemary played bridge and enjoyed needlepointing and her bowling leagues, but found love and companionship with her dogs, of which she had many. She was a devout Catholic, a faith that sustained her throughout her life. A funeral mass will be held on December 12th at 10 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Cullman, Alabama by Father Patrick Egan OSB. A Rosary will be on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 7:30 PM at Moss Funeral Home in Cullman Alabama. A memorial service will be held at a later date in New Rochelle, New York at Church of the Holy Family.
