Virginia Odell James, age 70 of Hanceville passed away at her residence on Wednesday, August 30, 2023. She was born on May 10, 1953 to Olen and Irene Baker Swann and is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Tammy James; and four siblings.
Survivors include her daughter, Tracy (Eli) Hood; three sons: Randy James, David James and Cody Burney; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Lisa (Bobby) Odum and Wanda Owens; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, September 4, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Moss Service Funeral Home; burial will follow in Johnson Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 3, 2023 from 5pm to 8pm at Moss Service Funeral Home.
