Charles Edward "C.J." Sutphin Jr.

Charles “C.J.” Edward Sutphin, Jr., 10, of Culpeper, VA passed away Thursday, May 23, 2013 in Culpeper Regional Hospital. CJ was born to Charles E. Sutphin, Sr. and Kathyren Arthur Sutphin September 4, 2002 in Fairfax, VA and completed the 5th grade this year. He enjoyed collecting school bus models, Matchbox cars and dollar bills. His smile and spirit touched everyone’s heart.

Surviving CJ are his parents; his siblings, Michael Lee Gardner, Jr. of Bay Town, TX, Wayne Stephen Gardner of Culpeper, VA and Tiffany Star Michelle Gardner of Culpeper, VA; his grandparents, James and Ereline Arthur of Radiant, VA and Harvey and Helen Sutphin of Amissville, VA and numerous aunts, uncles and cousons; as well as many special friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in the Culpeper Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Williams conducting the services. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, May 28, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions should be made to the Culpeper Baptist Church Youth Ministries, 318 S. West Street, Culpeper, VA 22701 or to the CJ Fund, c/o Stellar One Bank, Madison, VA 22727.
