Although Evelyn is no longer with us I still  think of her often and really miss her. She once commented to me that "she was like  a grandma to me" and yes she was. I enjoyed our times together, listening to her interesting stories of her lifetime. She was amazing in all that she accomplished. She is surely missed to this day.

I had the distinct honor and pleasure to work with Evelyne for many years.  During my time as General Manager of Unidyne, Evelyne was a consummate professional at her job and I always knew she would be at work on time.  You could count on her.  Evelyne was in many cases the first person in our company that prospective employees or customers spoke to or were greeted by upon arrival.  She always made a great first impression.

Evelyne loved to share stories of her childhood, her family, and her long career at AT&T.  Unidyne was blessed to have her.  One memorable event occurred after Evelyne’s car accident. I observed many coworkers rallying around her to help navigate the series of issues that resulted from the crash.  From the automotive repairs, to the DMV, and associated medical forms, the team of friends supported Evelyne through resolution when she finally had her car and license back.  That experience made me proud to be part of the team.  I was one of the lucky ones who had the opportunity to provide transportation during this time and enjoyed her stories and perspective immensely.  She felt that Unidyne was her family and it was obvious to me that many others felt the same way about her.

Evelyne was a special lady and while we were all happy to see her retire to enjoy her gardening and cats, we missed seeing her every workday.  I know that she will remain a special part of our collective memory, someone we will not forget. A team player, coworker, and friend.  We know she is in a happy place now.


Evelyne was a very independent, proud, sweet and sometimes private woman. I have known her for 30 years, ever since I started at Unidyne about 6 months after her. We became friends and we would frequently discuss investments or pets. She convinced me to start mowing her grass and other projects she wanted done in the yard. She lived a long, healthy, blessed life and will be truly missed!

I met Evelyne 21 years ago. I moved to the area and she took me under her wing. Over the years we became very good friends and I Loved Her. She was such a wonderful person. She trusted me and I know that because she let me help her with her car repair after her ELB Benz was involved in an accident. Every time I went on travel I brought her a small trinket and she was always so appreciative even though it was just a trivial thing. I was away from my Family and she was all about family. After knowing Evelyne for many years, I began sending her mother's Day cards because she was in fact my Mother away from my own Mother. I forgot to do that this year and now I regret it terribly. I Loved Evelyne and I miss her dearly. When I think of Her now, I weep... I know that will pass but her place in my heart never will. TY

I met Evelyne many years ago through work and soon found we were kindred spirits through the love of cats.  I introduced her to BJ’s way of shopping and  she would head for the bakery first thing.  I hope I was instrumental in giving her a few years of love & companionship through her last two cats - Callie and Climber.  She was  a sweet lady & will hold a special place on my heart. She sure loved her sweets and her cats.

Evelyne was a dear friend of mine. We worked together at L3 for many years. I loved to hear her tell me the stories of her childhood, her family  including her precious cats and dog, and her different jobs, especially the phone company. The biggest kick story was her teaching the second graders and teenagers about the different sounds the phone would make and what they meant. Stories about her family showed me how much she cared for all her family members. Recently she showed me pictures of her brothers that went to war and the joy she had that they returned was on her face as she told me additional stories. She was a kind, caring woman whom I just loved and will never forget. I was very fortunate to have her as a friend.
