Franklin Gerald "JERRY" Groves, of Culpeper, VA, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the age of 65. Jerry was born in Virginia to David Wayland Groves and Joyce Hilton Groves June 20, 1957 and worked as a superintendent in construction.
Jerry loved to play golf, eat seafood (especially crabs) and hanging out.
Surviving relatives are his three children Shawn Groves, Chasity Harris, Andrea Shifflett; eight grandchildren Rowan Groves, Piper Groves, Kierah Groves, Jeremy Groves, Mayah Croson, Dylan Harris, Emmett Shifflett, Kathryn Shifflett; one great-grandson John Groves; brothers Mike Groves and Tim Groves; uncle Allen Hilton and cousins and nieces also survive.
In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his siblings Danny Groves and Vickie Dodson.
As Jerry wanted, there will be a Celebration of his Life Gathering (casual) will be held Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home.
