

Franklin Jennings Peters, 81, of Culpeper, VA, went to be with the Lord March 17, 2014. Born March 9, 1933, in Scott County, VA, to Robert and Ethel Peters, Frank served our country for 23 years between the Army and Air Force, entering the Army in 1950 and retiring from the Air Force in 1975. He was a man who had a kind word, smile and laugh for everyone. He loved history and that led him to collecting and restoring furniture, tractors and most anything old.
Frank is survived by his wife, Barbara Spilman Peters and his children; Stuart Wynham, Susan Foltz, Mary Ann Kutik, Andrew Wynham, Katherine Sears, Tammy Lyons and Leonard Peters, brothers; Robert, Morris and Raymond Peters and sisters; Helen Smith and Mary Hawthorne, 29 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ethel Peters, brother, Palmer Gillenwater, sister, Evelyn Royer, daughters; Bonney Peters and Nancy Vanasse and sons; Robert and James Peters.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Hwy., Culpeper, VA, with funeral services held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 20th at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper, VA with military honors provided by the US Air Force Honor Guard.
