Helen May Herndon

Helen May Highlander Herndon, age 90, of Orange, VA passed away Friday, April 16, 2021 on her 90th birthday. Helen was born April 16, 1931 in Virginia to Authur Lee Highlander and Blanche Scott Edwards Highlander and was a communications clerk. Surviving Helen is her son Carl E. “Chip” Herndon, Jr. and his wife Vicki of Zion Crossroads, VA and her cousins William F. Brown and Arlene Brown. In addition to her parents, her husband Carl Eldridge Herndon, Sr. and her brother Frank Highlander preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, with a time of visitation one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow services in Fairview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to Boy Scout Troop 196, c/o 1200 Old Rixeyville Road, Culpeper, VA 22701.
