Joseph Richard Brown, Sr., age 64, of Culpeper, VA, passed away at UVA Medical Center November 25, 2019. Born December 6, 1954 to Alma Richard Brown and Dorothy Miller, he was a carpenter who enjoyed woodworking, softball, camping and being outdoors.
Surviving family is his son Rick Brown, his mother Dorothy J. Miller and her husband Charlie, his brother Fred Brown and his wife Tracey, granddaughters Abigail Brown and Isabelle Brown and several nieces and nephews. His father precedes Joseph in death.
Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 1, 2019 at Brandy Fire Department, 19601 Church Street, Brandy Station, VA 22714. A time of visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Everyone is invited to remain after the service for a time of food and fellowship. Please dress in a casual manner as this is what Rick would have wanted. Interment will be private at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made in Rick’s name to the Brandy Fire Department, 19601 Church Street, Brandy Station, VA 22714.
