Mary Ellen and I had some some fun and exciting ski trips with Dave, Ramona and Susan!! So you’re thinking “well Ramona doesn’t ski!”  True!!  But she always went along dressed in her fashionable ski clothes and sat in the lodge, talking to people about skiing and certainly looked the part!!  She always had good lodge stories to tell at the end of the day!!  She was a sweet lady!!

Susan and family, I am so sorry to see the passing of your mother.  I am sending hugs and prayers.

My memory was one of her quick wit.  She would never let you off easy when she found a chance to keep you honest.  She was engaging and that was something that was clearly demonstrated in her involvement with all the organizations and activities. 

God,I thank You for allowing me to get to know Ramona when I was employed at Hermitage Richmond. Then I was blessed to meet her daughters, Susan and Diane and we bonded as family. You ladies were great daughters and your mother would be proud of you. One of my fondest memories was in the evening when I left work, I  would say goodnight and I  love you and she always replied with l love you too. 

   What a sad time to now have lost both Dave and Ramona.  They were a significant part of our Blue Ridge Barbershop Chorus for many years and will be greatly missed.
   Ramona was key in supporting Dave and the Chorus in their singing pursuits in many ways.  She attended practices regularly and kept attendance records of the members, noting concerns about those absent.  However, her main position was choreographer for our performances, especially shows.  She had a real talent for bringing our shows to life by providing show themes, special moves and obtaining other performers from family, friends and community members to assist in her productions.
   What a blessing it has been to have such wonderful people as Ramona and Dave as part of our group.  We will continue to keep the surviving family members in our thoughts and prayers.

We wanted to send our condolences to Ramona's family from The Culpeper Welcome Waggers (therapy dogs) that her husband David and thier dog Beauty were a member of.  Ramona joined us at all of our picnics while David was a member, and she was always a pleasure to be around.

Dear Susan & Diane,
     I was saddened to learn of your Mom's passing from sight. Yet, praise God she is with Him, Mr. Young and Jeff!
     I am thankful for all of the  "stay overs" at your home with Jeff. I remember fondly the delicious home-made spaghetti & meatball dinners that always seemed to happen every time I visited. 
     Mrs. Young was always loving and kind--and a true lady! My life was blessed for having known all five of you!
     May God comfort and strengthen each of you in the days and weeks ahead.

Ramona was a wonderful person and we have many happy memories of her and David from Church. Ramona mentored Bill when he was a new CCD teacher and Pat enjoyed being in the choir with both David and Ramona. She made life better for so many!  I will always remember her love and devotion to her family.  Her daughters, and grandchildren are in our prayers!  Bill and Pat Ballard

I knew Ramona from Previous Blood and square dancing. She was a great lady. Very warm and kind.

Ramona was an outstanding colleague during my tenure at CCHS. She was such a great leader and friend. Dedicated to working with the students, she was a model encourager. 

Mrs.  Young was a wonderful person.  I was so glad that I have got to know her when I was in Girl Scouts, Majorettes, and flags.  She is going to be greatly missed by some many people.  My thought and prayers are with the family and this time.

My deepest sympathy to Susan & Diane. Ramona was my first cousin and I babysat for Diane & Susan when they lived in Kulpmont.  I was Jeff's godmother & spent time with them when they lived in Culpepper.   Ramona was always upbeat & loved a good laugh.  She had a beautiful voice & it was a joy to hear her sing at Sunday Mass.  In addition, she  always prepared a great meal.  You can be sure she is sitting at God's side.
