Rebecca "Becky" West Myers

Rebecca West Myers, 91, of Culpeper, VA passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018, in Dogwood Village, Orange, VA. One of thirteen children, Becky was born in Fairmont, WV, February 25, 1927, to Dent West and Pauline Satterfield West; she was a fixture at J.J. Newberry’s for forty-two years and was loved by all who met her. Becky was a lifetime member of the VFW Post Auxiliary 2524 Culpeper, VA, a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. Becky loved to crochet, read, play scrabble. She also enjoyed sitting in her swing outdoors, listening to nature and cooking for family gatherings. Becky is survived by her children, Janice Osborne and husband David, of Springfield, VA, John Myers and wife Shelley of Rochelle, VA, a grandson, Christopher Osborne and his wife Jenna, of Woodbridge, VA, a great-grandson, Dane Leonardo Osborne a great-granddaugter, Vivien Isabella Rodriguez, her siblings, Elvira W. Leavell, Mary W. Kilby, Daisy W. Backe, Harry K. West, Robert M. West and Nancy W. Hardesty and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John H. Myers, Sr. and siblings, Paul J. West, Idella W. Silva, Edward D. West, John C. West, Olive W. Jenkins and Albert W. West. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 12, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. in Hopewell United Methodist Church, 23557 Lignum Road, Lignum, VA, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Food and fellowship will follow interment in the church fellowship hall. Covered dishes will be greatly appreciated.
