

Roger Colin White of Culpeper, Virginia passed away peacefully at his home May 2, 2015. Roger was born August 19, 1944 in Syracuse, New York to Wayne Malcolm White and Margaret Carmen Schriner. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Sylvia White, brother, Richard P. White and sons, Jon S. White, Byron W. White, and his beloved wife of 29 years, Sandra B. White.
Roger attended Jordan High School in Jordan, New York before serving in the U.S. Army. Roger was stationed in Germany and served with the Berlin Brigade. Upon completion of his service, Roger found employment in the flour milling industry where he rose through the ranks to become plant manager. Roger managed flour mills in Mankato, Minnesota, Albany, New York and Culpeper, Virginia where he retired from Cargill, Inc. after 30 years of service. In addition, Roger served as treasurer of the Culpeper Industrial Development Board.
Survivors include his loving wife Paula A. White; sister Gloria Fear and husband Kevin, brother J. Larry White and wife Diane; daughter Michelle White, stepson Michael J .Georgia and wife Jessica, stepdaughter Michelle Warner and husband John; grandchildren Timothy White, Cassandra Harrison, Nicholas White, Logan Warner, Carlie Warner and Everett Georgia
Roger had many interests and hobbies. He was an avid reader and history buff. He spent his leisure time golfing, motorcycling, bird watching, wood working, metal working and crafting his latest project.
Friends and family will be received from 2-4 p.m., Sunday May 10, 2015, with a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. in the Clore-English Funeral Home Chapel, 11190 James Monroe Hwy., Culpeper, VA A reception will be hosted at 13592 Mt. Zion Church Road, Culpeper, immediately following the service. Interment will be held in Culpeper National Cemetery (new grounds), Monday May 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
Roger had a soft spot for animals and left behind his four loyal dogs. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in his honor to the Culpeper Humane Society, P.O. Box 1224, Culpeper, VA 22701.
