William Luther Dodson Jr.

William Luther Dodson, Jr. ,80, of Remington, VA passed away in Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton, VA February 26, 2022. Mr. Dodson was born July 21, 1941 to William L. Dodson, Sr. and Laura Tharp Dodson. He worked in the public school system until retirement. He was all about his family, a great prankster, enjoyed antique cars and was a lover of animals. Surviving Mr. Dodson are his children; Peggy Lea Carder and her husband Charles, Patricia Carter and her husband Vernon, Paula Dodson, Penny Williams and her husband Jeff; his grandchildren; Phillip Dodson, David Dodson, Jennifer Taylor, Chris Dodson, Curtis Runyon, Kimberly Kirk, Ryan Carter and Daniel Runyon; his great-grandchildren; Ryan Dodson, Alayna Dodson, Chase Dodson, Wyatt Carter, Layla Kirk, Llam Kirk, Alyson Runyon, Brandon Dodson, Blake Dodson and Lacey Dodson; and his former wife and the mother of his children Peggy Curtis. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Mary Lou Jacobs and his step-father Albert Harmon. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Clore-English Funeral Home Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. with interment in Hillcrest Memory Gardens, Jeffersonton, VA. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 1, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Clore –English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA.
