

Andreas Wigand, 34, was born in Phoenix, Arizona. At the age of 6 he moved to Manlius, New York and attended Mott Road Elementary School, Wellwood Middle School, and graduated from Manlius Pebble High School. Andreas earned his Eagle Scout badge at the age of 15 at the Hiawatha Seaway Council in Syracuse. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California, School of Cinematic Arts.
He also studied acting at the Stella Adler Academy in Los Angeles and was cast in numerous short films, commercials, including MTV’s, Call to Greatness, a sketch/improv comedy that continues to air internationally. To promote this show he appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show, MTV’s Total Request Live, Cold Pizza, and The Best Damn Sports Show Period. Andreas was cast as Milus in Andrew Niccols feature film, In Time, starring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried and Olivia Wilde. He was also cast in a recurring role on Steve Carell’s TBS show, Angie Tribeca.
He continued to act in and produce several short and independent films, web series, and many national commercials. He produced the web series, Husband & Wife, a homage to 1950’s sitcoms about a dysfunctional married couple. He also produced a short film, Signal Lost with stars Sean Young and Tony Dennison which has screened at several film festivals throughout the country.
His favorite production is his own short film, Hollywood’s Heart, a 12-minute long film shot on 35 mm film in two and a half days. This short film has screened at the Hollywood Film Festival, the Rome International Film Festival, the Vine Film Festival, and the LA Short Film Festival, and won the European Independent Film Festival. Andreas’ feature screenplay, Murder Made Easy was a finalist in the Writers on the Storm and the Script Shark screenwriting competitions.
In addition to his entertainment endeavors, he started his own company, OnGo, a travel app designed to connect travelers with local guides. Andreas loved to travel. He started international travel at nine months old and followed this passion throughout his life often taking friends on his adventures. It was the thrill of the unknown and expectation of adventures and meeting new people that fueled his interest.
Andreas will be missed by many friends and family. He lived a full life filled with lots of laughter. He loved people and wanted them to smile and laugh. His dog Astro, a bluenose pit bull, was his best bud and wing man.
