Beverly Josephine Mahoney

Beverly Josephine (Efflandt) Mahoney was born to Christian and Ethel Efflandt in Moline, Illinois on October 21, 1927. She married her beloved husband, John William Mahoney on February 23, 1946- his 18th birthday. One of nine Efflandt children, she, in turn had nine. She was preceded in death by her husband, John and two children, John William Jr. and Sarah Edmundine, her parents, and

sisters, Shirley Moore and Jacquelyn Orlowski, and brother, Darrold Efflandt. She is survived by siblings Ruth Johnson, Dolores Thomas, Chris Efflandt, Dwight Efflandt, and Harry Efflandt, as well as her seven remaining children: Aana Louise, Matthew Joseph, Shaughana Marie, Risë Ann, Paul Nathan, Eibhlhin Collins, and David Joseph, fifteen grandchildren, and twenty-eight great-grandchildren.

Beverly had a zest for life and forever took her own path. She loved family above all else and was known for attending every family reunion thrown over the decades, regardless of the distance or cost. She was a gifted singer and dancer and she passed this on to her kids. After losing her husband at such a young age, (43), she moved from California to Hawaii, then settled in Colorado. Her love of nature made this a good fit for her and the last three children at home.

Beverly passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on May 11, 2014 in Evergreen, Colorado. She will be laid to rest with her husband, children, mother-in-law, brother, and other family members at Holy Cross Cemetary in Culver City, California. Services will be held Monday, May 19th at 11AM at Gates Memorial Chapel- 4220 S. Sepulveda Blvd., Culver City, CA. 90230 (310) 837-7121
