Donald C. Olson (73) lived in Culver City for the past 4 years. Previously he lived in Washington State for 26 years before moving to California. Donald originally was born in Minneapolis and raised in Macintosh, Minnesota. Donald passed away on January 10, 2021.
He was a mechanical engineer for the navy for 40 yrs. He started at the Long Beach Naval Shipyard and sent him to school to become an engineer. Then he transferred to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard where he retired in December 2006.
He enjoyed boating and owned a power boat while in Washington; loved nascar and was part of a nascar pool for years and won a couple of times. Donald's favorite nascar driver was Jimmie Johnson. He liked going to baseball games, Mariners, Dodgers, and also loved football, Go Seahawks!
Donald is survived by his Wife; Susan Vitale-Olson of 33 1/2 years of marriage; daughter, Carly M. Olson and brother, Lewis Olson.
Donald will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, California.
