

His last 14 years were spent living in Marina Del Rey with wife Jackie.
Norman was born on February 16, 1918 at home in Lakewood, Rhode Island. He was the fourth child of Harold and Maude Baker. Norman spent his early years in Rhode Island, until settling in Massachusetts later in his childhood. He graduated from Milton High School in 1936 and went on to work for the Telephone company.
In 1943, during the Second World War, Norman decided to take Navy-sponsored tests to become an Electronic Technician. He proudly served in the Pacific Theatre from 1943 to 1946, before being discharged and returning home to his family. Upon returning home from his stint in the Pacific, he enrolled in Boston College’s night school for 6 years and earned a degree Cum Laude in Science with a Major in Labor Relations.
After retiring from his job at the Telephone Company, he and his wife Grace Baker moved to Meredith, New Hampshire full time, where Norman had spent many summers at their beloved summer cabin on Bear Island. In his retirement, Norman enjoyed getting involved in real estate and local government.
Norman will be remembered for his love of golfing, cribbage, gardening and his daily cocktail.
Norman is pre-deceased by his first wife, of forty-two years, Grace (Weymouth) Baker, his parents Harold and Maude Baker, his sisters Virginia Huntley and Dorothy King, his brother Clayton Baker, and his grand-daughter Lynda Hanscom.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Jacquelyn Baker, daughters Diane Hanscom, Priscilla Selfridge, Cynthia Anderson, son Bradford Baker, and step-children Kelly Laykin Natale and Greg Anderson. He will be remembered as a loving grandfather to Romano Natale, Noah Anderson, David Hanscom, Joanne Bisson, Charles Hanscom, Carol Hanscom, Caitlin Robertson, Joshua Selfridge, Daniel Baker, Caroline Baker, Stephen Baker, Michael Baker, Colleen Baker, Ryan Baker, Melissa Russell, Michael Anderson, and Christopher Anderson, as well as twenty great-grandchildren.
