Born in Dalhousie on November 2, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Agatha (Dignard) and of the late Herman Lavigne.
Bella loved nature, especially butterflies. She got great joy welcoming the little finches to her feeders and also they brought joy to her heart; when it snowed, she wished she could bring them inside. Sunsets were special. Bella always shared with the less fortunate. Bev and Bella supported food for Haiti via Dr. Simone in Toronto. She was a wonderful sharing person.
She is survived by her husband, Bev, of 53 years, her brother Herman and sisters Judy & Violet. She is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, 12 grand-nieces and nephews and one great-grand-niece. She was predeceased by her brother Gerald and her sisters Marie and Joan.
A great joy of her life was a grand-nephew, Cole Martins, 6 years old, who brought a gift of life to her.
She was a caring gentle person . Will be missed by many.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic and social distancing protocols, funeral service will be held at a later date.
