Passed away at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the age of 92, Mr. Bertrand Allard of Dalhousie, husband of first wife, the late Lola Allard and in 2nd marriage, Yvette (Mallet) Allard.
Bert was born on May 19, 1932, in Benjamin River to the late Wilbert Allard and the late Clementine Gagné.
He was a big Montreal Canadian’s hockey fan. Bert was a jack of all trades and built a cottage on the Baie de Chaleur in Petit Rocher where he loved spending his summers with his family. He was a quiet man, always joking around and always with a smile.
Besides his wife Yvette, he is survived by his children Suzanne (Terry) Allard Fitzpatrick, Judy (Bob) Allard, Diane (Dan) Allard, Barbie (Serge) Allard. His grandchildren Jamie (Jessica) Côte, Meighen (Brandon) Fitzpatrick, Kayla (Shaun) Fitzpatrick and Caitlin Richardson. Great grandchildren, Adeline, Torin, Violet, Aislinn, and Noah. Step children Gary (Isabelle) Savoie and Carol Lyne Doucet. Step grandchildren, Nicky and Zoe.
A Funeral Service for Bertrand will be held at the St. John United Church in Dalhousie on March 27, 2025, at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society.
